THE SAMOFFTHARECORD EXPERIENCE SEASON 2 EP. 4 'BLEACH IN THE WATERFALL WITH HERO THE BAND'

"Disinfect your mind and clean away your old way of thinking so that you can fill yourself with new thoughts and splatter a clean canvas with the color of your own reality!"

Hello! Hello! Helloooooo!! It's been a while since I dropped a new episode of The Samofftharecord Experience and I sincerely apologize.  But, here I am once again with episode 4.  I call this episode "Bleach In The Waterfall" with Hero The Band.  These guys are pretty kick ass, always up to creating, innovating, and being true to their core all while inspiring the world around them.  They have been working on a new EP titled BLEACH and they gave me the sneak peek and kind of the first listen.  I was super stoked to hear their new project, every time I hear their music it pumps me up, makes me wanna dance and gets my mind in the right place, the place of thinking further and greater.  We spent a day out in the wilderness capturing visuals and exploring God's green earth.  The experience of course was nothing less than super exciting and adrenaline rushing. Yep, my kind of living.  They shared news about their upcoming EP which is coming in May 2015!

"Most people consider us a rock band but we consider this project 'iPod' sound because it's a mixture of gospel, country, EDM, pop, rock n roll of course, R&B, and on, when someone listens to their iPod the genre of music is not limited." -Justin (bassist of Hero)

BLEACH is all about disinfecting the negativity from the mind, having a clean canvas and splattering your own reality.  Are you excited?! I am so excited for what's coming from Hero The Band and just plain excited for life! The experience above is a recap of our waterfall adventure and music from "BLEACH" so go ahead and hit PLAY. Stay tuned for what comes next and keep up with Hero HERE.

THE SAMOFFTHARECORD EXPERIENCE SEASON 2 EP. 3 "FLOWING WITH MIKEFLO"

"Heroes are just ordinary humans who choose to do extra ordinary things."

We are all superheroes, at least in my mind that's what I believe.  We just have to be brave enough to step outside of our comfort zone and face our fears so that we can activate our superpowers and start rocking this life and saving the world.  The world needs people to come alive and we've got the power.
I was recently introduced to a superhero by the name of Mikeflo, who is an artist 1/2 of Royal, DJ of Dead Prez for the past 10 years, stylist, and just an all around influencer.  He's also a pretty bad ass human being full of wisdom, knowledge and vibrant energy.  I knew when I met him that I had to feature him on my show.  We took a little trip to a cafe/dog park here in Atlanta and then shot over to Grant Park to chat a little.  His words of knowledge penetrated so deeply that I wanted to simply share them with you.  His new EP Royal Remixes is also something extraordinary to share so the music on the experiences is all from the EP. I chose my 3 favorite songs: Ice Cream Castles ft. Joi, Another One Bites The Dust, and The Boss ft. Beat Assailant.  What I love about Royal made up of Mikeflo and Devon Lee is their ability to be undefined, a revolutionary sound with a broad range of genres infused into a unique blend.  Well, that's pretty much it today my friends.  I hope you feel inspired after watching this to go out there and live an extraordinary life and then I hope you listen to the Royal Remix EP and dance your worries away and enjoy it as much as I have!! Stay true!!

The SamOffThaRecord Experience Season 2 Ep. 2 "Musings With My Muse"

"Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that, you can make anything happen."

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

One cannot go through life without a little magic.  Magic is believing in yourself!! When you believe in magic, you meet magical people.  I've had a muse for the past year.  His name is Harold Waight!! He is a mensch and an extremely multi talented visual artist, painter, photographer, has a fascinating sense of style and is just cool as an ice cube!! I believe Harold is on the verge of his artistic breakthrough, I see the passion in his eyes, I see the drive within him and when I hear all his stories of defeat, struggle, and perseverance I cannot believe he shares them so non chalantly, not victimizing his self but laughing and inspiring me. He is a victorious being on his way to amazing things and creating shift along the way!! Well I had to spend some time with him and his beau, the super dope fashion designer Malcolm Diggs this last time I was in New York.  We always have fun creating, laughing and inspiring each other to keep believing in magic and most importantly ourselves!! I hope you enjoy this episode and you too feel inspired to believe in magic!!

The SamOffThaRecord Experience Season 2 Ep. 1 "When Dreamers Collide"

"When Dreamers Collide" New York Edition

"We are much more powerful than we think we are. Let’s use this power, use the strength that everyone has when he/she is following his/her real Bliss, Personal Legend, you name it.
We are the dreamers, but we are also the revolution.
Dreams are not negotiable. Dreamers can’t be tamed." -Paulo Coelho

After an experimental Season 1 I took some time to work on a few projects, change my hair color, learn a few life lessons, and well. live a little. I also had some time to figure out what direction I wanted to move towards with The SOTR Experience Season 2. As most of you know by now, I'm not particularly the most predictable, technical, or planned out individual. I work and create out of energy, intuition, and experiences that inspire me. I'm a lover of raw, real ass life, people, and freedom. I decided to incorporate those exact ingredients into Season 2.

SAMOFFTHARECORD X HERO THE BAND SEASON 1 EXPERIENCE 1- "SPREADING POSITIVE ENERGY WITH HERO"

"SOTR X HERO THE BAND"

There are two types of people in the world, those who dream and hope the world will change and those who change the world. It is my mission to present those who not only dream but have the courage to take the road less traveled in pursuit of their purpose.  Since I met my friends, Hero The Band, I was certain that these dreamers would change and shift the world in a positive way.  They're not only Rockstars, they're also superheroes who make the world brighter each day by simply being true to their art and themselves.
Two weeks ago I introduced you to my latest project/webshow 'THE SAMOFFTHARECORD EXPERIENCE' (SOTR) in collabo with BlvckLvb Media. We kicked  it off with Vintage Nation, This time around we took it to the streets with some of my favorite creatives in Atlanta, Hero The Band. With the wind in our hair, our feet to the pedals, and our positive energy in full effect we embarked on a bike ride along the Atlanta belt line.

                                   "SOTR X VINTAGE NATION"
Hello Offtharecord!!

It is my pleasure to present the premiere of my new project/webshow "Samofftharecord" in collaboration with BlvckLvb Media. I find my self ultra thrilled and ready to burst in excitement as I type this newsletter. This project has been a thought and an idea for about a year now and it is now ready to launch. When I moved to Atlanta 2 and a half years, I wasn't aware of the challenges, the experiences, and the people that I would encounter. All that I knew was that this big city was the place where I would grow, find new pieces of myself, and tap into endless opportunities. In the few years that I have been here I have networked, filled myself with experiences, met some of the most extraordinary humans possible and tackled challenges that have forever changed me and led me to begin creating a career tailored just for me, simply by using the gifts given to me by the creator. This project is my perspective on this beautiful and thriving city and it's creative inhabitants that keep it alive. These are my thoughts, my experiences, and my creative outlook along with some of the movers and culture shock gamers I have met along the journey. I chose to kick off the project with a Special Edition episode featuring Vintage Nation while they were performing at the Microsoft store at the Lennox Mall here in Atlanta. Since the day I met them they have inspired me with their drive, love, and passion for their dream. Vintage Nation represent Atlanta to the fullest, the city of hustlers, dreamers, and doers!!
