ROCK N ROLLING GO EXPERIENCE!!

Saturday was hot as F**k here in Hotlanta and it was freaking beautiful. Nothing better than getting some sun, a good workout, and a tan. As planned the OTR team, cool ass people, and I, met up at Skate Escape in Midtown to get rocking and rolling through the belt line. Our essentials this time around were Go Energy drinks and our Go Pro camera to document the experience. I had a super blast vibing out with fellow creative entrepreneurs such as my pal Justin from Hero The Band, Anastasia of Greigemarket.com, Nick from Buckhead Thread Designs, Convertible Bert, Kellye B, and other super awesome shakers.  Stay tuned for more Rock N Rolling Events near you!! IN MY CRATEBOX: ROB MILTON-BAD HABIT

At first listen of Rob Milton’s single “Bad Habit,” one hears a variety of peculiar sounds, most remarkably the warped guitars, and his passionate voice telling the story of his love. Once one takes in the lyrics of the song it becomes evident that the “Bad Habit” isn’t coming in the form of some addictive drug, rather his lover. From his sensational voice we hear a compelling story about how he can’t get enough love, and how he feels their coursing through his veins. With references to him itching to get his loving, and not being able to stay away, it is safe to draw a comparison between addiction and his love for his lover. Overall with its unique lyrics, distinct guitar use, and uncommon use of synthesizers, this composition  shows the potential which lies within Milton’s June 19^th album “Rebirth.”

Hot Hat Alert!! MY NEW FAVORITE HAT!!!!!!

Hats are absolutely awesome for 2 reasons.  One, to look stylish. Two, and most importantly, to hide your jacked up hair that you don't feel like combing or don't have enough time to do! I'm totally a hat girl.  i have a few favorite hats that I pull out for emergency use to get me looking spiffy in no time.  As of lately I've been infatuated with my new 'Dirty South' ball cap from Convertible Bertt. I think this cap is for boys, but I don't care, i love it!! For starters I am mad about Old English font! It makes me feel like a real ass 'G' haha. I also live in the Dirty South so it's fitting to wear.  I've been wearing this hat almost every day for the past week while I'm working at video shoots, photo shoots, at my lawyer's office, at dinner with my mom... pretty much every where. You know I'm always hunting for the cool shit and the real shit not always what's super popular or trending that's why I love the rest of Convertible Bertt's stuff, it's got an edge to it, it's affordable, local, and on top of it the guy who owns the brand is a homie and his vision is pretty dope.  His apparel line is influenced  heavily by drag racing and the auto culture as a whole. Even though the apparel line is created for men, I feel like kick ass girls can rock some of the stuff too.  I plan on grabbing a few more items from CB soon to add to my #fastandfierce style.  I'm a woman on the go but I love to look fly!! Call me hunter of the cool, call me hunter of the good energy! However, what's even cooler is when you don't hunt and it's just served to you.  A friend of mine recently put me on to Textiles and Alchemy, a sunglass company that transcends the ordinary. Textiles and Alchemy is the science of deconstructing and reconstructing fabrics into wearable pieces of art. I'm a lover of the art as you know so I was totally digging all of their masterpieces.  They use textiles and fabrics from around the globe to create some of the coolest shades I've ever seen.  Ranging from vibrant pattern fabric glasses to bold and edgy shades of different shapes.  What I love best about Textiles and Alchemy is the meaning behind the brand and the mission.  I love how creative and in tune with the energy passed on from the maker to the product they are.  There seems to be an authentic feel to this brand.  I was gifted a pair of the Ono Zebe glasses from the RA collection.  I immediately fell in love!! For starters they're round which is my favorite sunglass shape, the zebra fabric is super cool and edgy, and they have these cool little shades over the shade that give them an extra unique look.  I specially like the packaging.  They come in a gold block case which made me feel like I was opening up an ancient Egyptian treasure or something.  Super cool man!! It's always really awesome to find brands with a deeper meaning than just someone trying to sell you something.  I plan on rocking the hell out of my shades and copping a few more styles soon.  Any who check them out if you dig them and stay elevated my friends!!

NEW YORK NEW YEAR!!

It is no secret that New York is my favorite place.  In 2014 I spent plenty of weekends going back and forth as often as I could just to gather some new inspiration and visit the many amazing friends I have here.  The past handsome year of 2014 has been one hell of a roller coaster ride.  2014 was a year of dancing out of my comfort zone, facing my fears, shedding of old ideas, projects, jobs and people.  I can't say that it was easy but growth isn't a pretty process.  Growth is stretching and stretching does't always feel that amazing right?  As the year was coming to a close I felt extremely drained physically and mentally as well as uninspired.  I could blame it on the bad eating habits I had been practicing due to my busy mind and activities as I prepare to push new projects this new year or I could blame it on my lack of organization and my ability to get all anxious and panicky when things don't move fast enough, but I'm just gonna take full accountability and work on bettering myself so I don't fall back in that place of fatigue and creative block again (I'm a little crazy I know).  However, I certainly wanted to end 2014 strong and kick off 2015 with a bang! What better place to ring in 2015 than the city that has been a huge source of inspiration since the first time I visited? I packed up and flew off to New York City baby!

This time around I've spent a week here rather than just a weekend.  I had no specific plan, I just kind of came to clear my mind and find some new energy.  That I found! I spent New Year's eve day exploring throughout the city from Brooklyn to Manhattan to Central Park just taking photos of people and things that inspired me (you can peep those in my Photo Journal).  After my exploring was over, I ended up going to a couple New Year's Eve parties with a good friend of mine, we rode the train to the parties with his friends who were super cool! Right at the stroke midnight I found myself hugging new cool strangers and feeling great! We bounced over to a loft party where I met some pretty rad people, danced and laughed the night away feeling a sense of new energy entering my life.  It was pretty great! I have spent the rest of my New Year days creating with some of my favorite creatives here in NY, preparing some new work and ventures I'll be heading into this year and getting my energy and mind right.   I feel so refreshed, I feel so alive, I feel so light after shedding so much this past year, I feel ready to enter a new dimension.  I don't much believe in resolutions but I do have one motto for 2015 which I plan on continuing this new chapter in my journey. 2015 is the year of  #FUCKFEAR! Yep, that's what I'll live by this year.  If I want something I'm just going to do it. Do what it takes without letting anything hold me back.  Not even myself! This is the year to run after my destiny!! You should too!! Happy New Year my awesome friends.  Make it count!!

10 MINUTE WORKOUT TO TONE YOUR WHOLE BODY

I used to run. I used to kind of have abs. I used to be fit man!! 'Used to' is not acceptable!! I have been slacking heavily with my fitness and I don't like the way it feels.  Not only is exercise great to get you in shape and looking sexy but it's important for our health.  We need to take care of our bodies so that our bodies can take care of us.  Sometimes we get busy and it's really difficult to fit in a good 45 minute workout, hell even 30 minute.  Sometimes we can't make it to a gym or sometimes, well majority of the time we make excuses.  I don't want to make excuses anymore.  I reached out to a great friend of mine, Devan Dunson, who is a professional fitness trainer and amazing motivator to help me put together a 10 minute workout that can target the whole body.  We call this the 'Fast and Fierce' Workout.  I'm going to begin doing this 3x a week for the next month and track my progress.  I challenge you to do the same.  Next month I will catch up with Devan again and come up with a new 10 minute workout so that we can all stay fit! This is perfect right after Thanksgiving. Time to burn away all that sweet potato pie. I have put a list of the workout below so you can check it out and follow the format. COLOR FUN FEST 5K RECAP

 It was something as fascinating as colorful rain pouring from the sky!! Except it wasn't rain, but there was clouds and clouds of neon greens, electric yellows, hot pinks, and every color your happy mind can imagine. The energy was felt at high levels as hundreds of lively runners gathered to participate in the coolest 5k in the world, 'The Color Fun Fest 5k'.  Luckily we had the honor to experience this exciting event thanks to our Color Fun Fest friends!! This epic color run took place May 31, 2014 at Turner Field here in Atlanta.  The 7 pm run seemed a little slow since the weather hit us with a storm, but it didn't stop runners from showing up.  Eventually the rain let up and the 9pm  run turned out to be a success! The team and I had a blast! We danced along to the electric dance music the DJ was dishing out,  we ran, we got paint in the most random places, places a girl should never have paint in, but it was totally worth it!!  The hour I spent in the shower gave me ample time to reflect on how awesome of a time I had! Being a seeker of cool ways to work out I plan on making this a yearly experience.. The next Atlanta run is right around the corner in September so start gearing up to be in attendance and have one heck of a time and remember to LIVE-CREATE-INSPIRE!!

It's festival season and by now you know we kicked it off at Counterpoint Music Festival 2014 in Rome, GA a few weeks back.  You read our Outkast story about the spectacular reunion, watched my interview with Deep Cotton but you must know that Counterpoint was beyond super amaze-BALLS!! There is no magic in the number of a new year.  The magic lies within the mind of those who are ready to create new opportunities, think new ideas, explore new places, face new challenges, conquer new fears, and climb to new heights. 

2013 has come and gone in the blink of an eye but not without leaving us with memories, some sweet and some not so sweet.  For many of us it's a time of reflection and introspection.  As I scanned the walls of my mind early this morning as well as the photo archives in my phone, I arrived at my conclusion of 2013.
